About
Infrastructure-focused IT professional documenting hands-on experience with homelab systems, networking, and cloud engineering.
About
I am an infrastructure-focused IT professional with over 10 years of experience working in enterprise environments, currently transitioning into cloud and platform engineering.
My background is in supporting and operating production systems across identity, endpoint management, and enterprise IT services. More recently, I have been building hands-on experience with infrastructure technologies including Linux, Docker, networking, and virtualisation.
This site documents my work in designing and operating a production-style homelab, with a focus on understanding how systems behave, how components interact, and how to troubleshoot real-world issues.
The goal is to move beyond theoretical knowledge and develop practical engineering capability across infrastructure, networking, and platform design.
Focus Areas
- Infrastructure and system design
- Containerisation (Docker)
- Networking and DNS
- Monitoring and observability
- Troubleshooting and system behaviour
Current Direction
I am currently focusing on building practical experience aligned with infrastructure and cloud engineering roles, including:
- Designing and operating self-hosted systems
- Understanding production patterns and trade-offs
- Expanding into container orchestration and automation
This site serves as a record of that progression.
